VenomVS CarnageRules: - Eddie Brock as Venom.
- Random encounter. No prep.
- Morals apply.
- Victory by KO or death.
- Battle takes place in Arena 6. A=Venom. B=Carnage.

Eddie is the more intelligent symbiote host of the two (and likely the most versatile host-symbiote combo ever), but Carnage flat out outpowers him. Eddie's experiencd and skill would likely keep him in the fight for a while, but unfortunately the two-dimensional monstrosity that is Carnage will eventually put him down.

unfortunately the two-dimensional monstrosity that is Carnage LOL. Not a Carnage fan, I take it? I agree with your first point though. Brock/Venom is far and away more creative with his abilities.

In the comics: A stalemate/Eddie takes the edge. Logically: Eddie puts up a good fight and is far more resourceful with the symbiote, but Carnage has him outclassed physically.

@ Silver - Aside from his introductory storyarc, he always was pointless to me.
@ K4tz - Maximum Carnage notwithstanding, they have fought a few times in the comics and Venom still got beat up.

I'm aware, but a vast amount has them at virtual evens, and Eddie often finding a means to outsmart them. So, despite Carnage being created as his (vastly) physical superior, the dialogue in comics tends to put them on a more fair level from what I've seen displayed.

Unless I misremember (it's been a while, so it's possible), Carnage had Venom on chokehold in Venom vs Carnage, and he was flat out defeated in Carnage Unlimited. And there's also the classic Carnage vs Venom + Spider-Man fights.

He basically ragdolled him around, but if my memory serves me right, Brock was trying to talk to Carnage about his grandchild, and not fight.
And like I said, there's obviously examples showing otherwise, but there's a handful off the top of my head where I recall it being more balanced than it should be.

The first rule of CL is that we don't talk about Maximum Carnage.

@ Silver - Aside from his introductory storyarc, he always was pointless to me. I agree that he was rather repetitive and lacked the intrigue that Brock had. but if my memory serves me right, Brock was trying to talk to Carnage about his grandchild, and not fight. This is how I remember it also.

The first rule of CL is that we don't talk about Maximum Carnage. It's because Deathlok is in it, isn't it?

LOL. I don't mind Deathlok, honestly.

Anyone have an estimate win ratio out of 10 for either side?

Is it just me... Or do the symbiotes (especially Venom) always seem to be smiling/grinning manically...? Lol.
So was Carnage ever able to cut Venom with one of his arm sword/axe constructs?

Like K4 said, they're more on an even basis in some comics, and like Morph said, in others they're not.
Oh, and in "Venom/Carnage", Venom threw Carnage in the way of a subway train. Random fact. I lol'd.
Logically Carnage wins.
