The chase - the first big action sequence - will end with Rogers diving into the Ocean and going after Kruger, by now in a handily place submarine. For now, Evans is spriniting around a corner, again and again, crashing into a pile of garbage cans.
After he's turned into Captain America, Rogers - the last of his kind, thus too valuable to risk on the battlefield - is paraded before troops to boost morale. There are songs. There is dancing. There's a ceremonial costume that's darned close to the comic book vintage.
Empire is shown impressive concept art, including a giant aerial battle with Cap combating his nemesis, Hugo Weaving's Red Skull, against the backdrop of dozens of clashing planes.
Apart from bookends that locate Cap firmly in the present day, The First Avengers stands alone from its teammates.
