Sad day. Well, someone on here who can draw should do it.

I feel that top cow is completely underrated in terms of their roster. No one gives them any real respect.

I feel that top cow is completely underrated in terms of their roster. No one gives them any real respect. Really? I always thought Top Cow was highly respected for their great story telling. Although not as widely known as Marvel or DC. Then again maybe that's just because I'm so used to seeing Crom and others talk about how awesome Top Cow is.

I don't know anyone who actually reads Top Cow that doesn't love it honestly. Great storytelling, awesome art, excellent characters.
Most people who say it sucks usuall have just seen art or been told by people who've never read it about it and thus never give it a chance.
But they are underrated in that not enough people know them and thus they don't get the respect they deserve
in my opinion anyway.

What would you recommend checking out for someone who isn't interested in magic-related titles?

It doesn't mean I won't get around to it. Take Annihilation for example. We'll chat about The Darkness this time next year.

Grab Cyber-Force and Hunter-Killer. These are super-tech science based powers based series.

Start with this, great crossover of both teams written by Silvestri with good art. Don't need prior knowledge to enjoy www.topcow.com/comics-menu/top-cow-universe/hunter-killer-menuThe trades collecting the first issues of each are also very accessible, if you can get them do so. Thought be warned that early issues do have some 90's syndrome, even if I liked them. Velocity#1 focusing on 1 of the cyber-force team members was also very good. There is a Cyber-Force/Avengers crossover that was also pretty good for a crossover. And Rip-Claw and Cy-blade have also crossed with Logan and Psyckloke.

I second the Cyberforce and Hunter-Killer recs, but quite honestly, I wouldn't start with the crossover. Get the first volume of Hunter Killer before that, because it's great. Mark Waid. Marc Silvestri. They're cool. And that story continued into Fusion, and that continued into the Cyberforce/Hunter-Killer crossover. And if you want some Cyberforce without the 90's feel, get the third volume. If you don't mind the 90's X-men feel, then volume two is decent too.

Oh without a doubt. With Top Cow, their crossovers are given the same amount of attention as their regular stories, which makes them easier to accept as being part of their universe's canon.
On another note, I really can't choose between Witchblade and Darkness. I like them both equally, but for different reasons.

In you opinion is Witchblade better then The Darkness? Without a doubt in my mind Witchblade is better. Especially from issue 80 and onward where Ron Marze became the writer as well as being charged with cleaning up the Top Cow universe. top cow crossovers sound pretty cool seems way better then the one dc and marvel did Not all of them were done well, but most are generally of a better quality then Marvel's and some were truely good.

Oh without a doubt. With Top Cow, their crossovers are given the same amount of attention as their regular stories, which makes them easier to accept as being part of their universe's canon. Be careful, not all of them are canon, especially the cross-company ones and especially after Ron Marz became the main man. The in-universe crossovers from different comic series set within the same universe are all, of course canon, and well done.
