Who do you think portrayed a comic character accurately? And why do you think they did?

Probably Iron Man. With any luck, Thor and Captain America will be too, bur for now, I'll say Iron Man.

I'm sort of tempted to say the latest Punisher movie did a good job with Frank Castle. It's tough to mess up that character, lol

Iron Man was fantastic. Nightcrawler was portrayed very well for the little screen time he got. Cyclops was pretty good.

I have to agree Nightcrawler was very well done. It's too bad the actor was a crybaby about the time he had to put in for make-up when doing the role

300. Not so much an adaption to film so much as a direct translation to it.

I have to go with Sin City. The whole look of the movie was dead on with the comics with only a few variations

As far as Batman is concerned, I think Christian Bale was the best Bruce Wayne and Michael Keaton was the best Batman.
Best of all time I would have to say that Christopher Reeve did the best job.

His sliding moral scale (fucking inconsistent writers!) being the biggest problem. In some books he's a ruthless killing machine above all else (Ennis) and in some media he befriends little children (WAR ZONE) and others.... well, the rest is all inbetween.

Volume 3 he even let Bullseye live, lol.

Volume 3 he even let Bullseye live, lol. The archnemesis of another character was not killed while crossing over to another book?
Colour me shocked.

I have to agree Nightcrawler was very well done. It's too bad the actor was a crybaby about the time he had to put in for make-up when doing the role I do not think he was very well done. Nightcrawler is naive because he always tried to see the good in people but this version was borderline childlike. Plus his makeup was glittery and the tats are not accurate to a character who sees his body as a temple.

I just don't think that's the Punisher's character being written differently, rather than the company not wishing to lose an asset of a character in Bullseye. By rights, if Frank had Lester in his mercy, there is no. freaking. way. He'd ever allow him to live. He has killed people for far less than the crimes Bullseye has committed.

You know I agree with that, but a remark was made about how his morals have flucuated, so I provided one extreme example.

Spider-Man (from 1 and 2). DEAD ON BABY. DEAD ON.
I SAID IT
also Wolverine is portrayed expertly by Hugh Jackman. Even if at least one of the movies are terrible (I know I actually kind of enjoyed X3, but Origins was awful. At least 1 and 2 were great.), Jackman just....gets the basics of the character down so well. I mean, he's not terribly complicated, but he really gets the vibe. It really feels like Wolverine is on the screen, and not just some guy dolled up to look like him.

Sin City in general Ron Perlman as Hellboy
all others were not as skilled in my opinion.
