I guess everyone's content with what they listen to. Nope, I'm not. Anyone got some avant-garde stuff? Oh, and I'm still lookin' for more jazz.

Well, part of the reason I want to get into it is because I want to learn more about it, but from what I do know of the stuff, it's art music that's pretty high in complexity an' junk. Varied across all boards. The only band I have in my library that's labeled avant-garde is Ephel Duath.

I need some new metal. Something heavy on the bass, slightly aggressive.

Yeah, it's easy to say that, but when you're looking for something new, it's generally a good idea to know what you're wanting to hear. That's what the sub-genres are for. From the bands you posted, I see some deathcore, metalcore, and nu-metal stuff. Based on that, you may or may not like these bands. Sonic Syndicate Dir En Grey Soilwork Threat Signal The Agonist Burning Skies Bring Me the Horizon Despised Icon Killswitch Engage All that Remains Shadows Fall Caliban Parkway Drive In this Moment Between the Buried and Me Sikth Protest the Hero The Contortionist Darkest Hour In Flames Hope you enjoy.

Already heard Killswitch. Love them. The rest are new. The Agonist's (from what I'm listening to) are amazing. And hot female lead.
