I think it'll be good if the Online and Offline had colours. Lime Green for Online and Red for Offline.

Also, I totally agree with the notification system about getting replied to etcetera.

Also, I totally agree with the notification system about getting replied to etcetera. In preference to a notification system (which always seem to be fraught with problems), personally I'd prefer a "your watches" part of your profile like on DC boards. Basically you can set it up so any thread you post on becomes a "watch"(you can also choose to watch a thread you might like to post on but haven't yet so you can find it quickly later). You can choose to delete watches. The advantage is when you open your watches you can see a list of all the threads your currently watching with the time, date and user to make the last post on. It makes it an easy search option for the types of things that your interested in. The thing I really like is sometimes it lets you see when there might be a new viewpoint to a thread your interested in just because you can see someone new is making additions without actually referencing yours.

Interesting idea.

Unfortunately, I don't believe these are additions we can do anything about. We're limited to the options "Proboards" has provided. However, Decoy or Sparda might know if there's a way to change the font for a member being online/offline. I'm not certain, though.

That's a shame, I was hoping it could simply replace the recent posts part of the profile page. I always found the watches idea easier than notifications of CV. For one thing like Erik I get less than 1/4 of the notifications I should (always have)

Yeah, unfortunately it seems we're hit with limitations when using proboards. But, considering it's free, I'm pretty happy with the options.

I like the site the way it is. I was just checking if things like I suggested were possible. I do like the idea of notifications. So you can just click on it and go straight to your reply.

I would love to disable the name changes thing without mod assistance. I cannot tell who anyone is from one day to the next.

No, I love the name changing ability. I loved it on CV and was gutted when they took it off.

I like the name changing. I wish they still had it in CV, I don't like my name there lol. But I do agree that it can be confusing at times.

This is why we have the name thread in the general discussion board. Post when you change your name, so others can tell. I do every time.

That system will not work once we get more numbers. If it was something you had to request, the changes could still happen but there would be much less mystery for people like me who cannot be bothered with looking through 4 or 5 pages of users who have all their various names.

For the time being, it works. When the site gets bigger, the name changing could be restricted to once or twice a year. I don't want to eliminate it all together though, and neither do most others. Also, the thread is 2 pages

Everyone is changing names like they change their socks.

Like I said, limiting it to a mod or administrator request would be preferred for me. If nothing else, it would give us something to do.

You can also check that user's profile. It is a lot faster than going through the pages.

I wouldn't say everyone erik,at least you, Saturn, Vance/Cane, Spidey, K4tz, Creator and I are still reasonably recognizable( though I did drop the 1), and GL555/ Highball only changed once.
