I don't believe it's important at all, just felt like discussing it for the sake of it, since, admittedly, Bane's haircut in the comics is rather odd for a film, but I won't mind, one way, or the other.

Also, I doubt he'll spend the entire time wearing the mask.

True. But I think Bane, as a character, works better with full attire. Hal's mask is miniscule in comparison, barely obscuring his face. But I'm excited to see how Nolan will decide to make Bane work realistically in the grim and gritty world he's shaped up thus far.
