Erik-ElWeren't some of their characters and story lines pretty risque compared to the standard DC fare? Yes indeed. But I imagine that since this is the new DC, they might be more risque in general. Dark and gritty is in with people these days.

It is the one route I hope they do not go with Superman. I like that he is the ultimate beacon of light in the DC universe.

I also hope they do not go overboard with Kryptonian life this time around. I keep hearing that New Krypton was a really good read (I have not read it yet) but the idea that he is not truly the last son of the dying world was very unappealing to me.

I do not mind seeing his cousin, Supergirl or Power Girl. Whatever tickles their fancy. But I hope that is pretty much the limit.

I'm hoping they trim the fat with some of the knockoff characters. IMO there should not be an infinite number of Flashes, Green Lanterns or knockoffs like Donna Troy.

Whoa now! Donna has a special place carved out next to Wonder Woman for me. She is literally part of Diana's soul given life. I thought that has always been awesome.

Lol that is understandable. She has gone through so many retcons, it is easy to see why many just say, "Man! Fuck this character! She makes no sense!"
She was worse than Power Girl used to be. But once they ironed everything out with making her a fraction of Diana's soul, things got better in my opinion.

looks at All-Star Superman

Red Lanterns get their own series? Why?

I remember hearing about that a few weeks ago. I guess this is when they were aiming it. I'd rather have a Sinestro Corps book.

The Red Lanterns book was announced quite a while ago. I'd rather have a SC book, as well.

I just do not see the appeal of a Red Lantern series. I thought they were all, "Raaaaaaaage!!!! Blargh!" and puking blood and whatnot. How is that deserving of an entire series?

Atrocitus is an interesting character, but I wouldn't support an on-going about him and his corps, either. Maybe a mini-series, but the choice is equally surprising to me, as well.

I am thinking of making a guessing game thread titled, "What DC titles will get the AXE?"
