On a similar note, Nausicaa of the valley of the wind was a far more enjoayble Miyazaki film to me.

You're a fan of Hayao Miyazaki? He's God. I enjoyed Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind more too.

You're a fan of Hayao Miyazaki? He's God. I enjoyed Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind more too. His reputation is astonishing to a degree where every respectable film-lover should have seen some of his most acclaimed films. So, while not a fan, I admire his vision and imagination. I intend to see more of his films in the future.

My Neighbor Totoro Princess Mononoke Castle in the sky Howl's moving castle
Am I missing any other highmarks of his career? Porco Rosso is a very moving film centered around war that I'd recommend. Kiki's delivery service is awesome. The character development in the film is awesome and focuses on how Kiki grows up in a very moving/warm kind of way, but their isn't a whole lot of conflict. If you liked Princess Mononoke, I'd recommend seeing Naussica. If you're a fan of Lupin the III, I'd highly recommend The Castle of Cagliostro for his interpretation of the character. Those are some of his well known movies I'd recommend.

I'll get to the rest at some point, since I'm currently at a film hiatus.
