The only issue I have with this movie is that it has nothing to do with the damn book it's named after. Well that is true. I have been told that the books were not very good anyway though. Your thoughts? The book was actually great. It's just that I Robot is actually a collection of smaller stories, none of which are like the movie. The movie is more like a series up books by the same author about a detective working with a robot(although robots are never villains in those books)

I wouldn't say the ammo was unlimited. Woody Harrelson just had a helluva lot of guns.

Best zombie movie I've seen in a long time.
Screw Shawn of the Dead, Zombieland is where it's at.

He had a few guns but seemingly infinite ammo.
Did you see the mass of bodies up against his carny stand? There is no way that many could have been killed with something like 4 clips.
It was a small thing I took issue with anyway because the movie is a comedy/horror.

Overall I enjoyed the movie, but I thought the direction and some of the acting was pretty weak (especially the female lead. I can't remember her name). Still, I didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as I had been told. Would you say that the acting at times seemed 'mechanical'? If so, that was actually intentional.

Shaun of the Dead was funnier IMO, Zombieland was much more entertaining in an all-around sense though.

Very loosely based on actual events, it had to add a little more suspense and thrills than what happened in real life but a very fun ride. This movie does blackjack a favor by making it look far more exciting than it actually is. Kevin Spacey as always is brilliant and Jim Campbell fits into his role and is believable the entire movie. He did an amazing job. Then of course we have Laurence Fishburne who shows his range by sliding right into his role so well that you believe he enjoys the beating he gives Jim's character. It is no surprise that searches for blackjack, card counting, and MIT blackjack team took a huge jump after this movie was released. It is a fun movie that makes you want to take a trip to Vegas. Solid acting, great plot, a few thrills, and we get a fun twist near the end of the flick. I gave this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

This is definitely one of those "check your brain at the door" movies. The plot was interesting and the way the slayers are controlled was fresh and outside the box. In the society game, there is a lot of the usual sim perversion, which I thought was funny to see acted out by real people. It was also hilarious to see that most of the hot society women were being played by perverted men.... Which is often the case in sims it seems. The movie Gamer does certainly have its share of T&A and blood and guts. The script was a little bleh though. Most of the acting was sub quality for me with the exception of Butler, Hall, and Lerman. The scene between Lerman and Keith David was pretty funny and everyone can agree that Terry Crews is the perfect blend of insanely huge muscles and comedic relief. It seems like he cannot get a role that does not have a song and a dance in it lately though. Butler was amazing in this action role and Hall has already proven he can play the sickies perfectly so there was no surprise there. He did an amazing job with his role. We even get to see Leguizamo for a short while being a slightly crazed convict which was fun. There were a lot of minor characters that did a very bad job with their acting and it kind of killed the movie for me. The cinematography was really great but all the cut-scenes that they did was kind of distracting so it cost the movie a perfect 5 in that category. The CGI effects were spectacular and it certainly satisfies ones blood lust. It was a good movie with a few problems, but overall it did give exactly what was promised. Milo Ventimiglia as the society toon Rick Rape was funny in an extremely creepy way. Oh and I absolutely loved the "Under my skin" scene. My favorite part of the movie in fact. Overall, I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

Shaun of the Dead was funnier IMO, Zombieland was much more entertaining in an all-around sense though. I think that you might have something here. I watched Shaun of the Dead just the other day and it did not inspire the same laughs that it did the first time through though.

There were portions of Shaun of the Dead that were hilarious. Aside from those, the pace was just... ugh. Hot Fuzz was better in that respect.

This movie was pure torture to watch. I have never seen a Uwe Boll movie and I have been told by many movie goers that this film is his best yet aside from the "intentional" comedy Postal. I honestly do not understand how anyone could admit they like this movie with a straight face. The cinematography was absolutely trash, the krugs looked like Power Ranger villain rejects, the plot (or lack thereof) was horrible, the script was childish, the action was worse, and the cgi effects looked like they were from the early 90's. One critic stated that the vine swinging girls looked like Cirque du Soleil wannabes and I have to agree. The movie even had goddamn ninjas! The music tried to inspire an emotional response in every scene but instead was distracting and downright comical. Every single time Ray Liotta laughed his evil laugh, I expected a long mustache to sprout from his face so he could twirl it between his fingers. Jason's use of martial arts in this fantasy movie was heavily misplaced. Every single scene was drastically overacted and loaded with every possible cliche imaginable from the slow motion scene of his son running from his imminent and very predictable death, to jason (laughably named Farmer) picking up his wife for a victory kiss to tell her that he loved her after having just vanquished the evil Ray Liotta. Also something that caught my eye was the arrows fired from the militaries bows looked like they were only going to go one or two feet before plopping harmlessly to the ground and they were pointing them into the sky when the krugs were just maybe ten yards or less from them. This movie would have been much better if it was an intentional comedy. The fact that some die hard Jason Statham fans compare it to Lord of the Rings and 300 make me want to spit in their faces. Though I must admit, Uwe Boll did make it clear that he was shamelessly trying to hack from these and other epic fantasy movies. Trying and failed. There is almost nothing in this film worth noting. I say almost because there are quality actors in this film, which stunned me that they would do this amazing ball of crap, and then there is the fact that the location the movie was shot in was beautiful. If this is Uwe Boll's best, he must be stopped. Avoid this movie at any cost. If there was a rating lower than 0.5, I would have given it to this movie. There was nothing in this movie that was done with care or done correctly. It was a movie of poorly shot, unimportant events, pasted together with silly string. AVOID.

While I will defend Shaun of the Dead's superiority to Zombieland until the day I die, this movie was really really good and a lot of fun.

Yippie-ki-yea! Right from the beginning we get to see that Mclaine is the cop that cannot seem to win yet strangely, always does. Great start to a sequel. Then it starts to get a little hoaky with the naked martial arts and shooting the television with the remote. Maybe this is nitpicking, but I could have done without the old lady playing with the taser. The movie is an action movie and the one liners are expected. The way they waste the old man in the church right after he said that he feels like part of him is dying with the church was completely anticipated. It even caused me to roll my eyes. Who knew that Mclane was going to get in an airport shootout when he followed the suspicious looking man into the baggage belt room? Really, be honest. It totally took you by surprise eh? The fighting that ensued was fun and satisfying though. You can shoot a hairspray can out of Mclane's hands but cannot hit him with the rest of the clip? Well that is 90's action flicks for you. The hero is always surrounded in a bullet proof force field. A little cheesy but Willis pulls it together with his perfect rendition of the anti-bond with the double-edged luck. Stuart's interaction with his men are as unbelievable now as they were when I saw this movie as a child. It was nice to see a familiar police officer in VelJohnson. His scenes with Willis pulled the movie back for me and Bonnie Bedelia solidified it. The movie continues to pick up pace all the way through even Sadler's stupidass lines. A few more one liners, a few more bullets, and some enlightened words from Willis. The movie actually gets pretty good except for the grenades that seem to have an extra long fuse. I love the twist with the Army guys actually being bad guys and the fire fight with the blanks. Mclane gets to waste a rival cop.... with a gun containing the same blanks for a good laugh. We get to share in Mclane's anxiety as his wife's life is on the line. We also get to see an epic fight on the wing of an airplane which ends with an airplane engine being filled with a body, then another wing fight with a kung fu master. The ending is explosive and has Mclane's trademark laugh at his own victory and some cheesy airport/airplane staff dialogue with happy music. Bonnie's lines at the end causes a good laugh. Overall the movie is good. Not nearly the quality of the first, third, or fourth but it still is a good movie. If one can just get past the early 90's script they will really enjoy this classic.
