I liked the first one fine but the second one is in another universe canon-wise as far as I am concerned. There are so many plot holes that conflict with the first movie's canon material. Then of course most of the stuff was just stupid.

Here's a big one. Where in the hell did the new Autobots come from? Actually I think they answered that one. End of the first film if I recall has Prime sending out a signal to all remaining Autobots in the (universe?) to come down to Earth. They even mentioned that I believe in the argument they have with Optimus early in the film about his signal to his autobot brothers, basically accuses that as the reason the Decepticons haven't left Earth wanting to eradicate whats left of the Autobots. If your talking about actually getting to Earth, I'd assue in the giant roboball.

That old Decepticon not knowing who Optimus was when according to all the first movie canon material, Optimus has always been the leader of the Autobots, even before the war started. He ruled the Autobots and Megatron ruled the Decepticons. The fact that the old Decepticon was old after a few hundred years!!! That war had raged for eons but a few hundred years on Earth puts the geezer in a state of advanced age? In the first one, the Autobots were able to sense when the Decepticons were near but Bumblebee had one sitting inside of him and never knew. Sam all of a sudden wanted nothing to do with helping the Autobots until he had no choice. He all of a sudden did not want Bumblebee around. Bumblebee had his voice back by the end of the first film and suddenly he was unable to speak again because the writers were just lazy as hell. There was other stuff that I am forgetting. I made a list once and it was much longer but I sure as hell am not going to watch that eyesore again just to make it again.

Oh yeah. Megatron being some weakling was nonsense as well as the fact that his body was still intact when it was dropped into the ocean at a point where it should have been obliterated. Yet he was revived with a little energon. If it were that easy to bring someone back to life, they would not have mourned Jazz's death. They would have stored him away until some energon could be found.

Matezoide: No problem. I liked the first one so my issues with the sequel were the canon material in comparison to the first movie. It also had some parts I found a little campy.

Also, I think some of the plot-holes some of you have can be answered in the Prequel comics Alliance and Defiance. There's also Tales of the Fallen which has some interesting stories particularly that of Jetfire and the Fallen. According to Tales of the Fallen, Jetfire was actually the Fallen's most valued minion and in it we see what caused Jetfire to turn good and we see how the Fallen was trapped the first time. However, if you read the prequel comics there is a plot-hole that I found: the Fallen in the comics was trapped in a cocoon shaped like a Decepticon insignia but in the movie he was already free - he doesn't get free until part 3 of the movie adaption comics.

I have only seen the first one so far. It was ok action wise but they focused too much on the humans, plus the design of the robots wasn't good in my opinion. It was difficult to tell them apart, at least for me, especially during battles. I don't know if I ever see the second movie, perhaps if it on TV.

The comics for the second movie do not provide answers to the plot holes, they exacerbate them. Especially when we bring in the comics for the first movie.

Does anyone know when the third movie is about to be released?

When hell freezes over...
Just kidding. I have to be honest, I would love it if the third movie just stated that 2 was all just a dream and we just move on.
