I mean come on he's king of the largest part of the Earth, that's gotta deserve SOME respect.

Aquaman is severly underrated. Every comic I have read with him in it, I have enjoyed.

Namor is an ass for no reason. Aquaman's an ass because someone chopped his fucking hand off. So personality wise Aquaman is more deep.

Good to see the king of the seven seas getting a little overdue respect. As all have said he is underrated so badly, usually be people who when the name is mentioned think Superfriends.

Aquaman is awesome. Aquaman's books, less so.

Aquaman is awesome. Aquaman's books, less so. There's an irony in that. My favorite Aquaman stories are from his tales in Action or Adventure ( can't remember which) when he lived in the sunken half of the police station in New Venise. It was after one of his thrown losses.

I've read Aquaman Vol 5, I believe, the latest volume before Infinite Crisis. The first arc, which introduced the water hand and everything was so damn boring it was basically like getting kicked in the balls trying to read it. After the writers changed and the Sub-Diego arc came, it improved considerably, but the Infinite Crisis (and the Spectre) came crashing, and Aquaman was killed off for no damn reason.

Yeah veitch's (at least I think that was who wrote the early issues of the run in 2004 IIRC) didn't do a great Job at all. Even that arc however was better than the Water bearer mini UUUGH. Once Pfiefer took over it picked up a bit. IIRC Osrander also did a couple of nice issues in between. I'd never hear of Pfiefer before that and honestly haven't seen anything since.

Do you guys think that he will get his book back after Brightest Day?

Possibly, if Johns does a good job (Which Johns is perfectly capable of doing and seems to be doing fine so far). I'd like to see him continuing on Arthur after BD because he feels like just the kind of character Johns does well.

Do you guys think that he will get his book back after Brightest Day? If Johns writes it, because no one cares about Aquaman's continuity, I wouldn't be mad. It would be refreshing.

i only remember pfiefer because I was actually looking for something by him for a few months after the series ended, he'd at least piqued my interest. As far a veitch, all I'm sure about was that it was a German sounding name. I remember thinking that it made sense that a fascist wrote that crap (yeah I know not very politically correct )
