I heard about this, too. I don't hate Bay, but I think a lot of the complaints surrounding him are legitimate. That said, I absolutely loved the first Transformers and the third was good popcorn fun.

I know am gonna get shit for this. But I liked the 2nd one. Not more than 1 or 3 though. My type of humour is kinda juvenile at times. I see that in Bay films and that's why I watch them. I especially like Bad Boys II. Laughing my arse off at the Reggie gag.

He's working on another film with Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg: Pain and Gain. Based on a true story or something. I enjoy watching the Rock, so I'll watch that. And I can't wait for Bad Boys III.

I had fun watching the second, I won't deny that. It's a very fun movie at times, but it's also EXTREMELY stupid at times.

I understand where a lot of the animosity comes from as well, but I can honestly say I think he has done some incredible things with the franchise. Someone else easily could have gotten ahold of the franchise and done a lot worse. Being 36 years old right now, I was there watching the G1 cartoon every week, seeing the original movie in the theater and spending every single penny I had on the toys. That said, I have never felt in any way like Michael Bay was trying to not do right by the fans with these movies. The fact is that we are talking about live action movies that are almost 30 years after the Transformers cartoons and toys that G1 fans grew up with. There is bound to be some MAJOR differences. Back then the continuity between the Marvel Transformers comics and the cartoon didn't even match up. Also, for the group of people that just hate Bay's style, that's entirely subjective. A group of people not liking something is not necessarily indicative that it's "bad." People are, of course, entitled to their opinions but I much prefer to take something at face value and just enjoy it as much as I can. I look at all three (original comic, G1 cartoon, movie) as SEPARATE Universes and "takes" on the Transformers. Much the same as I do with my Marvel Comics and the current group of movies being done by Marvel Studios.

For the record, I also enjoyed ROTF and saw it multiple times in the theater. I just thought TF1 and DOTM were better and had stronger stories.

For me getting rid of Megan Fox was a great thing. I couldn't stand her after #1.
I wonder who'll be the main guy in the next film. People say he wanted, Jason Statham.

I liked the first movie but the next two weren't nearly as good. The first one I have issues with but it is enjoyable.
I don't like some of the vehicle choices made for the movie so I would like them to reboot and kick GM the fuck out.

The first three were cool and all, but do we really need a fourth one? The Transformers series better not be the new Shrek series.

I still say ROTF, for all its faults, had the most awesome action scene filmed that year.

I am good with Bay. Just put more sexual innuendos in the 4th film. The 3rd one was kind of lacking. Maybe some transformers that change into giant vaginas instead of cars.

That was a pretty great sequence, definitely the best in the film IMO.
