Just watched the trailer for Hunger Game. Looks good. The actress, Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique from First Class) I think will be an actress to watch out for in the next few years.

Taken was so good. I don't think they should have made a second one. Who are they going to take now? His daughter, again?
Don't think I'd bother watching the Whedon film.
Resident Evil, I'm sick of them. Only person I want to see in them is Leon Kennedy and him to be played by Jensen Ackles.

You'd think Mills would have shown his daughter some martial arts since he was good himself.

I loved Taken, but I'm on the fence about the sequel. I hope they don't screw up all that was awesome about the first one.

Speaking of Liam Neeson, seeing 'The Grey' and 'Man on a Ledge.' Not sure about the embargo dates yet, but I'll post links when I'm allowed to make a review public.

I think people like Bryan Mills and John McClane should have to wear signs that say, "Unstoppable Badass" so that people will stop attempting to do bad things around them.

I can't post the review until their release dates.. but I will say this. One was exceptional and another was very, very mediocre.

Now that we're further in the year I think these are my favorites (in order and definitely open to being switched around): 1) Marvel's The Avengers (hilarious and kept me entertained the whole time) 2) The Raid: Redemption (currently my favorite action movie) 3) The Amazing Spider-Man (surpassed my expectations and was a blast) 4) The Dark Knight Rises (didn't live up to the other two but still a solid conclusion) 5) The Grey (Liam Neeson. That is all) 6) The Cabin in the Woods (hilarious and incredibly fun finale) 7) Prometheus (engaging but frustrating) 8) Chronicle (dark, deep and engaging) 9) John Carter (predictable but a feel good adventure) 10) 21 Jump Street (much to my surprise, this had me laughing the whole time) Honorable mention: Safe House

And before anyone goes on a rant about TDKR being #4, I've likely supported the movie more than you. I've seen it 3 times now, and once in IMAX where I dragged two extra friends. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, NOLAN!

Avengers and TDKR are right up there as my favorites. I must be getting old, I can barely remember the movies I've seen this year. Maybe the others have just been crap.
