Whoops, was typing that before I saw the other messages  You better be Crysising! We agree that both systems are good, but if Erik is looking for a blu-ray player + excellent gaming system, then I think we agree he should PS3 it up. |

Also, if you download 720p or 1080p files and they're MKVs or others that don't work on PS3 format. I'll teach you how to reformat it to a MP4 H.264  |

I just hopped on quickly after some dinner but I'm going to play Crysis. I didn't read it but this did catch my eye:

There is no such thing as the red rings of death on the new Xbox's =)

My room mate has had the "ring of death" 3/4 times now. I've never had a probably with my PS3 not once and we've had them the same length of time.

PS3 has it`s own ``Ring of Death``,it is called Yellow Light btw Ckal,PS3 has way too many exclusive series to name,i just believe they are better (and more numerous) than 360`s and Uncharted 2 got better reviews than any 360 exclusive game  but i love both consoles,i aint a fanboy ;D |

Everyone I know who has had an x-box for any length of time has had the red ring of death. I have a PS3 and the bluray lens went out at about a year and 3 months. It would still play audio cd's and dvd's, but no games or blurays. I had to send it back to Sony for repair. It was gone about a month and it cost me $107.66. That said, Sony was really easy to deal with on the phone and made the return and repair as easy to deal with as possible. Also, instances I have heard of problems with the x-box FAR outweigh any I have heard about the PS3. Even with the problem I had, I still think I made the right choice going with the PS3.

I know a lot of people who have had their PS3's much longer than I have who've never had a single problem. I can't say the same of my friends who own an x-box. IMO PS3 problems seem to be the exception, where with the x-box it's the rule.  |
