Capcom pretty much created the Beat-em up Genre... That's true but I haven't been inspired by any game in the genre for years. And I was a big geek for those games. The final Fight series remains to this day one of my favorite series. Except for the crappy last one. |

The sad thing is that they were making a more traditional Final Fight with Haggar and whatnot, but the Japanese execs thought that it wasn't "American" enough so they changed the game radically and it turned into Streetwise.

And both non-sensical and ironic, since by canon storyline and universe, the Final Fight Characters are part of the Street Fighter universe. Cody even appears in Street Fighter Alpha and, the ninja in red, I can never remember his name from final fight 1 to 3 also did. The events in Final Fight are even stated to have had important impact of the SF storyline because the Mad Gear gang is linked to Shadaloo. The characters of the Final Fight universe even had a short arc in the UDON SF comics. |

Edit:
Just to add in an edit, my reasoning is sound for not getting the 3DS, I don't care about 3D, at all, I've played demos with it and honestly either I don't see what other people see or it's just not blowing me away. That and there wasn't any launch titles outside street fighter that remotely interested me.
