I was referring to Superman: Earth One. I am still confused about its ties to the mainstream universe as I am under the impression that it is the replacement for Birthright. No no no, Earth one is akin to Marvel's ultimate universe. Completely separate continuity to New Earth Superman. They're planning one of those for Batman as well. |

Basically, it's a re telling of the silver age origin (as if you couldn't guess  ), and has minor ties to New Krypton. It's beautifully written IMO, but it's still fucking silver age. I've made a rant about it on CV a few months ago. |

That is too bad. I liked Birthright a lot. It was a favorite of mine for Superman.

I hated Birthright for the same reason I hate Origins, because they insist on playing the hunched bumbling Clark who exists only as a disguise for our hero. Other than that, Birthright was effing awesome.

Other than that, Birthright was effing awesome. I actually liked it because it not only had Clark as the disguise, but Superman as well. Superman is the invincible disguise. The only real Clark we see is when he went home. When he was with family. |

Circe lost to Plastic Man, lol. What??? I demand scans!!!! I hate Plastic Man btw, so I really do want to see this. Happened in JLA: Rock of Ages. She tried transforming Plastic Man into animals, but he changed himself back so she couldn't fight him. Luthor had to save her ass. Sadly I can't find scan. |
