Ultimate Avengers vs New Ultimates 03 Mark Millar - Story Leinil Yu - Layouts and Finishes Stephen Segovia - Finishes Gerry Alanguilan/Jason Paz/Jeff Huet - Inks Sunny Gho - Colors I never thought Spider-Man would actually die. Especially so soon. So go buy this issue because you need to read how it happens. The issue starts out with Thor brooding in his apartment with his girlfriend Jane, still digesting the information that Fury is a traitor as revealed in issue 01. Thankfully, in his normal Ultimate speech and not the Shakespeare stuff. Tony Stark is back on his feet again, at least for a short while and we get to see that the European Defense Initiative survived their supposed deaths in Ultimatum. Ultimate Captain Britain and his people are working to get the Triskelion out of the middle east. Fury also takes it to Danvers in this issue with remarkable ease. It is a good thing (or bad) that Danvers has the power houses on her side because Fury is clearly the better tactician and espionage specialist. He nearly gets away with it too except for that power house thing I mentioned before. Rogers is not happy. Not happy at all. He will not even hear Fury out, he just hands him an ass whupping. The issue ends on a cliff-hanger and Spider-Man does spill his blood in a bad way. Overall I liked the issue. I think it drove the plot a lot more than issue 2 and I cannot wait to see the next issue. The art was good and then there is the Cho cover. Love that Cho. 9 out of 10 just because the Spider-Man thing.

I loved the banter between Fury's team regarding Thor. "Hurry up and get the mission done. As soon as he arrives its over."

That was good. It is kind of interesting how there is still no serious rival for Thor in the Ultimate U yet.
