*ahem* and I take linguistic classes. my point is that Dark one in this case doesn't mean "the dark one" in the sense of the evil or terrible one. But in the sense of dark colored hair. which even your own book points out. And no, my name is not Bartholomew. Are you calling me evil ?! just kidden , yeah the book has dark haired as one of the three posibilities but seen as its my name i think i choose which one of the three , and i choose dark one as it sounds totally rad . I'm Irish and Ciar means Black although it's not the one anyone that speaks irish would say , i think its a old word for it or something. By the by can you tell us your name already.

Don't get angry at me, that's linguistics. Get angry at your ancestors. By the by can you tell us your name already. lol, I could but it's funnier watching people guess.

Yeah i know it means dark in terms of shade and colour but still if i say dark and dont tell people what type of dark it means then its cooler , never the less it means dark one , and im not actually angry i was just kidden. Fine is it Mattew , john ,simon, james or i know its a long shot but ...Thaddeus ?

Anyway I'm just nitpicking because it's important to know that ancient languages often have many words for different types of the same thing.
One of those names is my name yes.

Probably teasing you. Side tracking you, I thought "he who is exalted" meant something like God or similar.

Side tracking you, I thought "he who is exalted" meant something like God or similar. nah I am serious in what my name means in hebrew. Within the context of my name's meaning "He who is exalted" or "he who is blessed" means He who is blessed or exalted by God. God would be "he who is the exalted"

Hurm, I don't like giving out my real name over the internet, but it is pretty bland so I probably can't be tracked down via it.
Ryan, which according to a name thing I found this one time means "little king".

I thought El was God in Hebrew. Michael: He who is like God. Both of these are absolutely correct, EL means God and Micheal does mean in one translation "he who is like God", however depending on the translation Micheal can also mean "Power of God" or "Might of God" My name (whom people still haven't figured out) however, means "He who is blessed" and "he who is exalted" not in the sense of being divine, but in the sense of being rewarded or given special recognizance for his qualities by a divine entity. Remember ancient languages had different words for things that in our modern languages would use the same word.

Ryan, which according to a name thing I found this one time means "little king". That's cause Ryan comes from the root words "Reyes", "Rex", etc. which mean king.

Mine's Matthew. It roughly translates to gift from God in Hebrew. My middle name is Ryan. Therefore I am both a King and a gift from God to my subjects
