"I avoided this series for years because I just saw it as a Superman parody. It is so much more than what I gave it credit for though. It covers real life issues along with space scary and blood and guts. Great execution of story as well."
Secret Avengers
"Steve Rogers and his team of badasses. I love the John Steele thing they have going right now and I even did some digging and found out Steele was actually in the 1940 comics. Pure gold."
Ultimate Spider-Man
"This series is both lighthearted and action packed. It is packed with all these characters that all create this awesome dynamic with Peter. I think my favorite thing about this series is that it deals with real teen stuff along with the super hero stuff."
Zoom:
Walking Dead
"You get to see how characters react to the worst of circumstances and how it changes them over time. Anyone can die (and they only come back to life as zombies)."
Fables
"Every character is a literary refernence. The whole thing is epic and clever in a way that 99% of superhero comics can't touch."
Booster Gold
"This book brings the funny and because it's all about time travel, you get to see characters like Enemy Ace, Wally West Kid Flash, Green Lantern Sinestro and Ted Kord."
Dane:
Red Robin
"Great series, has all of the hallmarks of a great run. Written by Nicieza (Cable and Deadpool, Thunderbolts, X-Men). If you like street-level action with a solid, witty plot and well-written characters give this one a shot."
Captain America
"Brubaker has had an amazing run and it doesn't look like stopping anytime soon. This has been an extremely solid read for years on end."
Hawkeye: Blindspot
"Looks like it's a 4 issue limited run but this is probably the most exciting book I've picked up recently. Clint has always been a sort of 'supporting character' in the Avengers but hopefully if this sells well he might get his own book. In all honestly, if the next 3 issues are as good as the first I think he has a decent shot. Really quite excited to see some backstory and character development with Hawkeye in this mini."

"A great assortment of interesting characters with an iconic leader, and a interesting plot fleshing out a forgotten villain's history. The realistic attitude and events in the series make for emotional attachment to characters."
Gotham City Sirens
"I love the main characters and flow of the book, not to mention the great art and references to each character's past. A lot of needed character development happens, which make for great stories."
Hawkeye: Blindspot
"The first issue was grand. It gave a huge shout out to long time Clint fans and really had me hooked. Zemo seems very interesting as a villain, as does the other archer. The art is good and seeing how Hawkeye will cope with what is happening to him has me wanting more. McCann is definitely keeping me interested after the mediocre Widowmaker."
Lance
Secret Avengers
"One of the more interesting books to come out of the heroic age, paves a great direction for Steve as he transitions away from being Captain America."
Daken: Dark Wolverine
"Pretty decent art and so far a good story line, it's about time Daken shows that he's not just a shadow of his father."
Secret Six
"Not a team that you'd think would be such gold considering the b-list status most of them are relegated to, but from what I've read, it's keeping me hooked."

"If you're not reading this because you're still grumpy over OMD, then you're really missing out on some amazing (har har) stories. Slott's work with 'Big Time' has been a delight so far, and some of the previous tales (New Ways to Die, Grim Hunt, Gantlet, American Son) have all been exceptional. Give the spider a second chance and pick it up!
Star Wars: Blood Ties
"Yes, this just recently concluded, but if you're a fan of the Fett or Star Wars in general it's an absolute must read. A highly amusing story, flashbacks with his father, Jango, and stunning artwork. Go read it before I place a bounty on your head!"
Hulk
"Jeff Parker is really picking up the pieces of the mess that was the previous Hulk run. He's accomplished the impossible--- made me give a damn about Rulk. To top it off, the series has just been a hell of a lot of fun to read so far."
Morpheus

"Dan Slott has always been an avid Spider-Man fan, and never made a secret out of it. He even went as far as calling writing ASM full time, his "dream job". And make no mistake, this is the work of a writer who is content with himself, and it shows. Fresh takes on characters we all love, confident and exciting stories and some well fitted art make Big Time a must read for new and old readers alike."
Uncanny X-Force
"Following the ultraviolent (but enjoyable) version of Kyle and Yost, Rick Remender and Jerome Opena stepped up to the challenge with a new version of the black-ops X team, and with a nigh perfect blend of very strong character work, character dynamics, and high stake action scenes - amazingly orchistrated by Opena's art, they have already surpassed their predecessors by a large margin. This is really top notch stuff."
Heroes for Hire
"While the dynamic duo of Abnett and Lanning may seem out of their depth (and unlikely as it may sound, by being too close to the shore instead of too far, seeing that their speciality lies with cosmic characters), they have managed to craft a story of great intrigue spanning over many segments with a great variety of protagonists -- some of them yet to be revealed. With exquisite pacing and some truly beautiful art by Brad Walker, you can't go wrong by reading this title."

"This is a fantastic title so far. The creative aspects like writing and art really set suck you into the story. Remender does a great job with all of the characters (who feel perfectly selected) and making them feel natural and working as a team. The first arc was very interesting as well. I am also really enjoying Opena's art a lot. His action scenes and character emotions/portrayals are fantastic. Also, Fantomex is awesome."
Silver Surfer
"Although it is only one issue in, it was so good that it was one of my favorite single issues I've read in a while. On top of the amazing writing by Pak, who you can tell understands the character on an emotional and power-wise level, the art is amazing. Segovia has some really dynamic art that just seems to fit Radd. The story looks like it will be very interesting and intriguing, and I am sure will prove to be one of the best titles out there."
The Traveler
"One of BOOM! Studios' new titles, it is off to a great start. The latest issue (#4) tied everything together so well, and in some ways I didn't quite expect. The Traveler's origin is very well executed. Mark Waid is doing a great job with this character and his personality and very cool power set (one of my favorites for any hero right now). There are also cool and interesting villains with an equally diverse and interesting array of powers, and a motive for The Traveler is well established. Chad Hardin does a nice job with the art, but I feel if Scott Clark were to take over art duties, it would bring this title to a whole 'nother level (his covers are ridiculously good). Very excited to see where this title goes."
