Yeah, I include that part (with the dad) as part of the freeway scene. The noob-tubing was funny, as well (if you're a gamer ) One problem I had... ***SPOILERS*** The alien's air force was seen getting hit by air-to-air missiles and what not, but still kicking ass....Then one of them gets dropped by a grenade and gas station exploding? I'd imagine a fighter pilot missile is meant to be almost that powerful! But whatever, it was still an awesome scene. ***END SPOILERS***

***SPOILERS*** They find out how to take out the drones, but that doesn't mean they suddenly take down EVERY command center. They just started spreading the word on how to. Plus, they recognized the fact that there's still a MASSIVE ground army to deal with. ***END SPOILERS*** Well in ID4, after that guy in the plane goes up the rear end of the alien ship, after that the general tells the president that they're telling everyone on the planet how to beat them. I did like the B:LA ending though.

I'd like to see a sequel set in England. Around the SAS. It was nice that they showed the global struggle, but I agree. It would be pretty cool to have a potential sequel with an emphasis on a non-US effort.

I did like the B:LA ending though. I know, but then we see the ships being destroyed/crashing all over the world. My point is suddenly figuring out how to bring them down doesn't mean a region is capable of accomplishing it. This was days after the aliens wiped out most of humanities armies and they still had their full force.

***SPOILERS*** That veterinarian was kind of useless. When they were looking for a way to kill it, she didn't do nothing. It was that Staff Sergeant was the one who killed it. ***END SPOILERS***
I was like, well you were useless. Might want to but Spoilers into the title.

Agreed on the female lead. I really didn't see a need for her and I remarked on that scene in the review

There were two things I liked about this movie.
#1. It felt real. The characters, the setting, everything felt very real to me as if this is exactly what it would be like if this situation occurred. That is one way it is drastically different from Independence Day. Yes, they did basically stop the aliens single-handedly, but it all seemed so plausible.
#2. It connected with me on a personal level. I don't know why but for me this movie was emotionally moving in a way most action movies aren't. It really made me want to tell my loved ones how I feel because you never know whats going to happen tommorrow and you may never get the chance to let them know how much they mean to you.

Also I considered Michelle Rodriguez's character the female lead, not the civilian lady. Maybe I misunderstand.

About #1: I agree, that's why I said despite none of the characters really being "unique", I found them entertaining and grew to care for them in the battles. They just helped slow down the LA invasion, there's still tons of ground troops scattered, and armies all over the globe Glad to see you also liked the movie. What kind of score would you give it?

Michelle R's best scene? When they start stabbing the alien and it punches her in the face. "That hurt!" ;D

I'm glad she wasn't COMPLETELY type-casted yet again. Sure, she's a military chick (yet again), but this time she was in the intellegence dept.

Me and my friend were mentioning that she was type-cast as that chick. And I liked "that hurt?" scene.

I liked the hot-wiring a car joke. "Anyone know how?" "He does, he's from Jersey." <-----From New Jersey. Then when he hot-wires it he goes "Newark represent!" Newark is like 10 miles from me

I'd give Battle: LA a 7/10.
It was emotionally stirring, uplifting, bad ass and I love Michelle Rodriguez lol

You know we've now got to make a scenario against their ground forces, haha.
That cannon = OMFGWTF.

Honestly the cannon looked slow and clumsy to me.
My complaints are... 1. Much of the plot/characters/etc. were/was cliche. 2. For all the excitement and destruction I found the movie somewhat boring. I don't know how to explain it but I got a lot more out of the emotional element than the action personally. 3. I hate movies with shaky camera-work. I realize it's done for a reason to give a certain feel, but I don't like it. 4. The pacing seemed slow to me.
Those were my biggest complaints.
