The footage of Green Lantern that was shown at WonderCon this week has just been released online. his footage is packed with many things we didn't see in the first trailer. It has a more serious tone, shots of Oa with seemingly thousands of other Green Lanterns listening to a speech from Sinestro, Tomar-Re speaking to Hal, more of Hector Hammond and his battle with Hal, more Abin Sur with Hal and fighting Parallax, and oh yeah, their take on Parallax. Also, this will probably seem very underwhelming in comparison to the footage, but a new poster has been released for the movie as well. Check it all out below! Theatrical poster: Full image:

I was very underwhelmed at the first trailer, but I got to admit this footage isn't half bad.

Yeah I agree with you. I'm pretty siked for this movie after seeing that. I don't really like the way they portrayed Parallax, though.

Did you spot any of your other favorite Lanterns? Anything in particular you thought was cool? Hal's .50 cal gun construct was awesome.

What was that the Lantern crowd was chanting? We are... what?

Parallax looks like an actual monster.

"We are the Corps"
Sinestro in this movie is looking bad ass. Mark Strong's voice just brings him to a whole other level. There were a lot of close shots of other Lanterns (who I don't even know who they are) that I'm sure will please people.
I think this movie will be less humorous than people got the impression of after the first trailer. I'm sure the beginning of the movie will be joke-y, but as it progresses, gets more serious. The serious tone worked well for it in this footage.

Geoff must be proud. Everything he's done in Rebirth and the first 10 issues of volume 4, is basically the core of the film.

The film kinda reminds me of Iron Man 1, with the protagonist evolving from an immature joker at the beginning, to an actual hero at the end, with the tone of the film following course.

Morph- Yeah, that seems to be the arc they are going for. It worked for Tony Stark and Iron Man, but they still found a way to keep Tony, Tony.
Oh, this looks like it is heavily influenced by Johns' work? How so? I haven't read his GL work.

Long story short, Parallax wasn't a giant bug before Johns took over. It was merely an alias that Hal Jordan used when he turned renegade, destroyed the Corps and tried to recreate the Universe after his home city was obliterated. Johns retconned it into Hal being influenced by Parallax, the primordial entity of fear, not doing so under his own accord. Hector Hammond (who was unused for over a decade to my knowledge) was one of the first villains Hal fought Johns' volume, too, so there is a sense of familarity to the whole thing.

Wow. That actually looks bitching. Funny how a single trailer can turn your interest in a movie upside down.
Of course trailers are supposed to do that, but goddamn I want to see this now.

Morph- Hmm interesting.
I hope this movie does well, if for nothing else than the fact that it might coax Marvel into putting out something like Doctor Strange or Nova much more quickly.

Parallax looked about 8-10 times more awesome than anything in the comics.
Also, Ckal, have you heard that Patrick Dempsey is lobbying for a Doc Strange movie?

Sov- Yeah I remember hearing something about him and that role a while back. I think he's got a decent look for Stephen Strange, but how is he as an actor? I'm not familiar with his work.
Now, Johnny Depp, that's a man I could see in the role.

For the first time since the announcement of this movie being made, I genuinely want to go see this movie.
