Seems like a reasonable path to take in order to attract even more viewers. It's not like people outside of comics will complain about it, either.
Funnily enough, Deadpool got a one-shot that was also named X-Men Origins: Deadpool in the past year.

I will say neither yay nor nay until we find out more.
But I'll admit, the fact that they're using an "X-Men Origins" title is automatically making me a bit biased against it.

An extremely odd movie, though, considering this film is allegedly ignoring all of the events in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. However, I agree it's likely a marketing ploy to just draw in more people. And considering that, it seems only logical they'll aim for a PG-13 rating as well.

I'm kinda scared the Deadpool they portray will be the more "popular and marketable" Way-style Deadpool. Too many jokes, not enough coolness.

I don't see why Marvel studies doesn't just grow a pair and forcibly buy back the rights to all of their characters.
Marvel fans would be partying in the streets for a month.

I'm not surprised that Fox would name the movie X-Men Origins: Deadpool but would this mean that there will be X-Men Characters in it? I mean it's high likely that Wolverine and Cable will in the movie but that wouldn't justify the title But you guess what character would appear in the movie till the cows come home I just hope they have some character like Ajax, Black Swan, T-Ray, Copycat, Kane, maybe even Classic X-Force.

Yeah that was an alt end but I heard that the Deadpool movie will have no tie-in's with X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Oh great not another one.Marvel has done a $hit job with movies as of late epecially the Xmen ones.They had better not fvck this one upor i will boycot the rest of the movies for ever....or until the next one comes out.
Is Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool?I actually thought that was good in the wolverine movie which BTW i didnt like either

It's been other companies that have been pumping out the crappy movies about Marvel characters. So far, Marvel Studios has given us Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and the Incredible Hulk (and the previews for Thor and Captain America look very promising). As far as I'm concerned, Marvel's track record is flawless so far. |

Which basically means they get consulted with about what a characters powers are and maybe something about an origin if the makers of the films are feeling like putting in that extra effort. |
