Peter Jackson has released a short video blog on Facebook from the set of The Hobbit. He explained that he will be keeping us up to date as we go through the next two or three years, so this seems to be the first of many video blogs by Peter from the set of The Hobbit. 'The Hobbit: Part 1' is set to be released December 19, 2012. You cannot embed any videos here aside from YouTube videos. Just provide the link instead.

I'm not sure how excited I am for the movie (I LOVED the book, it doesn't seem like the kind of story that will translate well to a movie unless they change a lot of the story), but hearing that music and seeing those familiar sets just gave me a fan-gasm.
