In a recent interview in which Kenneth Branagh and Chris Hemsworth spoke about Thor, Chris was also asked questions about films he is signed on for and 'The Avengers.' He also shared that Natalie will be appearing in Marvel Studios' upcoming 'The Avengers.' Here's what Chris had to say: This is interesting news after word came out recently that Stellan Skarsgard's character, Dr. Selvig, would appear in 'The Avengers' as a link to Bruce Banner and Hank Pym, as well the constantly reappearing talk that Loki will be the film's villain. So far, Pepper Pots is said to not be in The Avengers, James Rhodes we aren't sure, and no word on any Captain America supporting characters making an appearance yet. We shall see in the coming months. 'The Avengers' is set to be released by Marvel Studios May 4, 2012. Head on over to Bad Taste for the full interview. As long as I force myself to forget what she did to the Star Wars prequels, she's one of my favorite acresses.

IMO, those movies were saved only by their special effects and kicka$$ battle scenes. It was the actors who brought them down. Everybody hates on Hayden Christiansen for ruining them, but I never really noticed any bad acting from him. Natalie Portman's acting was worse than his in those films.

The fight scenes were admittedly pretty cool but Hayden was a whinny bitch in those movies. That is not really his fault though. Many times, actor performance weighs heavily on the director. I never once thought Natalie was doing poor acting. She had poor character scenes but I think she did well with what she was given.

George Lucas is notorious for being horrible with actors. He has things done his way, and gives actors no leeway. On top of bad dialogue for most of the prequels, these amount to a wooden performance.
And yeah, Hayden Christiansen was bad.

I though Anakin's character was bad, but I thought Hayden Christiansen did an acceptable job for the character he had to work as.

Well it's absolutely true that none of the actors were really given anything to work with. I think Liam Neeson, Ian McDiarmid, and Ewan McGregor were definitely the best of the prequel series.
