Suprisingly lacking in any fan service yet still having a laughably pervy characters. Suprisingly having one of those characters end up being someone that really busts right through gender roles, even if it's a minor character did get me thinking how my mind is biased to said gender roles and despite it being clear he has some interest in girls I was thinking he was homosexaul for a moment, but then thought again he could be bi since he wanted to subjugate the male characters to his will while dressed like a girl.
Oh boy lots of thinking to be done, perhaps a re evaluation of what I consider to be the Norm.

If you're looking for comedy and pervy protagonist, then check out Heaven's Lost Property. I wanted more serious parts, but it's more comedy I guess. And a lot of pervy.

Just finished watching both seasons. I have to admit I'm not sure what I found off putting at the start of the series, but I got over it. Outside the lack of a reason as to why the heck Daedalus chose him to love her creations I don't have a clue. But honestly the season 2 parody opening in episode one, made me love it. I was honestly hoping that would last more than one single episode www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZFrTCTQ2A4. Took a little too long to establish the protagonist IMO thought and it doesn't help that Tomo doesn't really allude to having a particular interest in any of the cast( Unless not groping Ikari counts, infact nothing sexual to her, he treats her the best out of the lot in the series). I'll make it a thread that no one will post in, but It will be made! |

I'm fine with anime as long as there is little to no fan service and rather there is a focus on story and character development.

Right now I'm watching Shuffle!
Holy shit this show drops a lot of bombs at the end of the series. "Oh this looks like a normal little harem with demons and goddess, cool" Then Holy crap this took some dark turns in the plot.

I knew he wouldn't end up with certain people it wouldn't be fair to the other one of it was so. So that left 2 others. She never got much screen time in the first half of the series. So this is what led me to believe it would be her. There is a famous scene in Shuffle! with a knife, which was parodied in They are my Noble Masters.

Yeah safe bet, unless the games follow a similiar plotline and said person had played them, I don't think people are going to see some of those plot developements comming, at all. Oh Kaede. Although I did completely predict how rin was going to save the day, even though I was hoping it wouldn't happen. Honestly who wouldn't want to be king of the gods or demons? Shame they had Rin depicted so oblivious at the end of the series to Kaede, but his choices redeem him in my book. Although I would have stayed in bed, unlike what he did. |
