The fellas over at Empire online have reported that Jeremy Renner, the man we all know from the Hurt Locker, and our future Hawkeye, will be taking on the starring role in "The Bourne Legacy". From the sound of things we'll be dealing with a brand new government group this time around, one that makes Treadstone and Blackbriar look like cupcakes by comparison. What do you all think of this news? I thought the last Bourne movie was a bit disappointing compared to the other two, but I have really back luck with the third movie in trilogies. I've loved Renner in what I have seen him in so far, so this will probably get me to see the upcoming installment in this franchise (Damn Hollywood casting agents!) www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=30776If you are not already a member, Sign Up! to join the community and take part in the discussion! I like Renner. The Bourne sequels were pretty meh, but I'd watch the next one if he was starring.
I like how they're using the title for one of the books, but it's not going to be related at all. Dunno if they did that for the rest of the movies too, but I still find it kind of funny.

I like Renner and I liked the Bourne movies. I'll be interested to see how this plays out.

Just so you all know, the character Jason Bourne will not be appearing in "The Bourne Legacy." Renner will be playing a character who was a result of the happening's with Bourne or something, not Jason Bourne. Tony Gilroy explained that he is leaving the door open for Matt Damn to return in the future.
Just wanted to make that clear.

Ah the Bourne series, another example of book to movie downgrading.

This guy is making all the right movie choices. He will become a big name actor if he keeps this up. Loved the Bourne movies.
