Conan is set to be released this summer, August 19. How do you think it looks? Will you see it? If you are not already a member, Sign Up! to join the community and take part in the discussion!

I'd like to see a red band trailer. I hope this is good, but I'll probably check it out barring terrible reviews.
Conan requires blood, gore, boobs, and drinking. What I've heard from the producers/director, that's what we should be getting. It's not hard to make a good Conan movie. It's as easy as just sticking to REH's stories.

I love Conan almost to the point of man crush and that trailer is not making me happy. The first one made me very enthusiastic and even made me believe it might be my summer movie.
But this... *goes off to cry in the corner again*

I love Conan too. I have this Conan Collection and I highly recommend it if you don't have it. My father has always been a huge Conan fan as well since he was a kid. Really? I thought the first trailer (the smoke one) looked like absolute garbage.

crom- What made you think that?
I hope this is nothing like the Arnold Conan movies where they treated him like a big idiot. Conan is athletic and smart who started out as a thief and knows a bunch of languages.

Looks kinda cool.
Maybe not anything all that special, but still kinda cool.

Looks like a fun movie. Better than that Immortals shit at least.
Doesn't look like much of a Conan movie, though. But hey, neither was the 80s one and that movie was still boss.
I have, uh, I have hopes I guess. Way better looking than the first teaser indicated. And Momoa looks surprisingly fitting, actually.

Oh yeah, and the production actually looks really good. Like, sets and costumes and the CGI and shit.

Honestly, Crom, I'm not quite sure what you were anticipating that was different from what we've seen. When I first heard there would be a Conan movie, I expected a muscular guy with long hair, no shirt, and a sword, doing semi-impossible stunts while screaming with bloodlust and hacking limbs off of giant mythical beasts. Kinda like Clash of the Titans only under a different name. And that is exactly what I've seen in this trailer.

@delta: I don't know if you've read any of the original Robert E. Howard stories, but there's generally a lot more to Conan that running around killing fools and making love to women (though that's a lot of it). There's a general underlying philosophy of the merits of the primitive, barbaric existence vs. civilization, and how the former is more noble than the latter, as well as some commentary on religion and stuff.
Naturally, porting that over to a blockbuster movie is kind of hard when it's centered around a ripped dude killing things. The 80s movie did a good job injecting some intelligence into it, even if it wasn't really Conan-y.
I imagine that Crom's complaint is that it doesn't look like a real adaptation of the REH stuff. It's more of a general adaptation of the pop culture idea of Conan. That being said, they used a few lines in the trailer right out of the original stories, and some of the stuff we've seen seems to indicate towards that barbarianism/primitive existence vs. civilization stuff that I mentioned.
Of course, crom's complaints could be entirely unrelated to everything that I just yapped about.

Honestly, Crom, I'm not quite sure what you were anticipating that was different from what we've seen.. First trailer actually had quotes from the real Conan that is the novels. Made me believe and hope that finally we might see a movie where who Conan actually is is shown. Then this trailer goes off on that good against evil horseshit. Which proves they likely have no idea about Conan.
