I have enjoyed Nolan's modifications to classic Bat-characters so far, but this change is rather disappointing, honestly.

Likewise. I'm not one to get annoyed by such changes - particularly if the end result delivers, but I am of the same opinion about the "mask" thus far.

The only thing I'm thinking is maybe the mask closes to resemble a more classic look. As it stands it just looks quite odd.

I like it... It doesn't look fake and plasticy..... I think the bane in this movie is going to be more about personality then using shitty cgi to put some fake looking body with big veins on a dude.... That's why I love nolans batman movies so much better then anything marvel does.... It's different.... All of marvels movies seem all happy go lucky and itslike everything is made of plastic.... I'm kind of worked green lantern might come off like that too....

And naturally the tone of Batman is far darker than Iron Man / Hulk / Thor, so the comparison isn't exactly fair.

It's funny.. Every time a picture of a Nolan batman movie comes out... Peopl bitch and moan about it.... But then it ends up being bad ass...... Same thing happens with the tumbler in the first movie and then Heath ledger in the second movie..... Heath ledger took the "r" off of jack nicolsons joker and just made him look like a joke

I don't recall people bitching about the vehicle, but it's the internet---everyone can post their opinions. It doesn't mean it's remotely valid. And the complaints over Ledger was simply the casting choice, not when promo pictures with him were released. I'm not justifying their complaints, but it was over casting, not promo pictures. This case is entirely different, and it's hardly "bitching" considering we've virtually all said we have faith in Nolan so we'll wait to see how it looks in action. But as is, that's a very odd choice.

I'm not saying I dislike all marvel movies.... They just all seem to follow a similar formula... They all resort to a lot of the same type of humor and antics... I think the most out of the box marvel movie was that last hulk movie... That seems to have more of a serious tone.

Hey I didn't say ere was any thing wrong with bitching! I do it to.... I was just pointing out how that Nolan usually proves people wrong. And the joker got a lot of complaints.
