Hey I just had a thought. What if venom is an altered version of Scarecrow's fear toxin? Instead of causing massive amounts of fear, it causes massive amounts of aggression. It would explain the gas mask look. could be, aggression and fear both increase adrenaline levels, which increase physical power. |

I do not see why he needs a mask at all. But if they wanted to do the mask, there are better designs they could have gone with. Wanna bet it is some kind of breathing apparatus? Maybe something to do with venom? By golly I think you're on to something. |

Lol I just wanted to draw a decent visualization on what this drug could do. Since it likely will not be actually boosting strength and making someone invulnerable among other things.

Kind of like how Two-Face was only seen near the end of the movie with his face all burned up, I imagine that Bane will only break out the mask near the climax or as a short sort of wink to comic readers near the beginning. It just seems weird that he'd wear a mask the whole time, at least in the Nolan universe. I mean, Scarecrow had a pretty logical reason to wear his mask and he only had it, for, what, half the time he was on screen? I don't think Nolan would cover up Tom Hardy throughout the whole movie.
Then again, Nolan has a habit of surprising me, so who knows at this point?

I honestly think he will do what just makes the most sense for each character. It didn't make sense for Scarecrow to always have the mask on, but for Bane, it could make complete sense.
