Is it a more serious tone? Compared to the original creative staff, very much so. But a serious tone is not really what killed it for me (although is was a major contributor). I really hate the art and that no one acts like they did previously. It is not just the mood of the story that is different, it is almost as if the characters had a personality retcon. |

That sucks. I'll just use this issue as a starting point then. You can get the exact type of feel for the old stuff with my reviews on the new direction. I posted a one-page scan of the old stuff. Just a page I selected from the comic completely at random that was not an ad. That was how most of the entire series was. |
