I think it would be a good anime to get started. I agree, for the sci-fi genre it's a good entry point. It's like firefly only really good.

I never got into Firefly. Don't really like those types of shows.

Neither could I. I'll add that I'm also an openly heretical geek because I don't like Joss Whedon.

Aha, I'm just not interested in those types of films/shows. The closest I've gotten is probably Star Wars.

Eh I'm not a big star wars fan either. I don't really get the hype.

I'm not a big fan either, like Silver/JediXMan. It just grabbed my attention unlike Firefly/Star Trek etc.

Sci-Fi is usually disappointing to me as genre, truth be told.

Yeah, live-action-wise anyway.

Sci-Fi is usually disappointing to me as genre, truth be told. It's a genre that's really hit or miss. Some people really love Ender's Game, others find it too weird. Same for stuff like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and such.

What was everyone's favorite episode? The one with the crazy fat guy at the theme park was mine. You know the experiment guy who was afraid of cats?

Nice choice. Mine would be The Real Folk Blues (Part 1 and 2).
