Moon Knight #2 Writer: Brian Michael Bendis Artist: Alex Maleev The Story: Issue #2 picks up where issue #1 left off. Moon Knight has of course relocated to the West Coast and the city of Los Angeles. he's on the trail of the new west coast Kingpin who hasn't been revealed yet. We see the new Kingpin in shadow at the end of the issue and I have a knowledgeable guess that it's Count Nefaria. Moon Knight goes undercover as one of his 3 personalities (Spider-Man) and he's trying to obtain some info by visiting a strip club. You read that correctly and I'm not making it up. The premise is that the strip club is a front for the new kingpin and the girls obtain information for him from clients. Things don't go well for Moony as one of the strippers is actually quite proficient in H2H combat. It turns out she's the new kingpin's primary lieutenant. He gets an unexpected assist in the form of Maya Lopez aka Echo. She was a fixture in New Avengers and I was glad to see her return here. Thoughts: If there wasn't the whole batshit crazy, Ipod shuffle thing going with the personalities of Cap, Spidey & Logan this series would be fantastic. I like how Bendis is using Moony here I just don't like the fact that he's using these personalities without explanation given. Maya Lopez actually questions exactly what's wrong with him in the issue. The action has been good for the first few issues and the dialogue is pretty good too. I just can't give this anything over a 6/10 though due to the personality crap that's going on.

Lol. Nice to hear Echo is getting more play but could she have been in a worse title?

NO WAI!
Moon Knight needed help from a girl to beat the stripper. No one would be caught dead using that as a feat.

Technically, he was under his Spider-Man guise against the stripper and bouncers (who were on mutant growth hormone) so it shouldn't count as feats for Moon Knight. Who am I kidding? This series is a train wreck and I love it. I failed to mention his Wolverine & Cap personalities were doing a running commentary during the fight.

No one was actually on Mutant Growth Hormone. His personalities just reasoned that the bad guys were on it because they were not dropping to "Spider-Man" punches. This series is wonky on wonky. His Spider-Man humor does not even fit Spider-Man. Moon Knight just figures he can just leave his mouth open and let words fall out and suddenly, he is Spider-Man. What a loon.

@k4tz:
If you were dead right now, you would be spinning in your grave over this series.

@k4tz: If you were dead right now, you would be spinning in your grave over this series. If he'd be spinning, I'd be coming back as a zombie assassin trained in the highest levels of H2H and marksmanship with only one goal: kill Bendis (Because eating his brains at this point would be like expecting to get a load of calories from eating lettuce).
