They just lit the city in red and blue in his honour. Bwah. LIES. Let's not forget who's the REAL expert here. I know Azzarello's style and that's not the problem. It's not convoluted (Yet), it's just not that good. For Tomorrow and Lex Luthor: Man of Steel were confusing, but their characterization was impressive. This isn't the case.

Phantom, I thought the reveal was in the previous issue as well. Didn't they show the original clay origin in it? I was confused.

You are the out of context scans expert, I'm reading it so I got you beat on this one.
But that's not to say your view is inaccurate, but it's just a good time for Spider-Man currently.
That's a fair point about the characterization, but (and this is me speculating since I haven't read a jot yet), maybe it's an intentional approach with WW? In many stories in Hellblazer, John was basically a supporting character judged by the way he affected others and not necessarily by having all the spotlight himself. Is he doing anything similar with WW or she still gets most of the panel time but is simply not interesting enough?

The clay origin was just the cover up story put forth by Hippolyta and the gang, and up until Strife showed up they didn't know any better.

But that's not to say your view is inaccurate HAHA I win! /Discussion. No, she's still the focus. The whole third issue is spent discussing her parentage, and at no point does it actually make me care about it.

LOL, then I don't know what's up. Maybe WW just isn't his cup of tea.

Yes, I think it's easily one of the best titles currently out there (by either big publisher).

@ Lord - Miagini? The battribe from Return of Bruce Wayne, the cavemen who were inspired by a time displaced Batman to fight against Vandal Savage. Ofcourse they turned Batman in to a god called Barbatos,Dr Hurt was one of their more rabid fanatics and he tortured a Miagini named Catherine Van Derm who would go on to marry Alan Wayne. I think the Court of Owls were a bunch of outcasts or new settlers who created their own religion or cult.Owls hunt bats.

@ Lord - Ah, OK. I've read the Return of Bruce Wayne but I didn't recall their names.
He was too cool a villain to kill off so soon.

JLI is making JLA look like the proverbial tortoise in comparison.
