I was thinking about it the other day. Are they eating Pokemon? Since no other animal lifeform has been shown to exist.

I remember in the first couple of seasons, Ash's mom had vegetables from a garden which weren't Pokemon, and I remember fish too, which weren't Pokemon. I'm pretty sure they have other animals and rice balls.

I remember the vegetables. They have been shown a lot of times IIRC. The fish, I admit, I don't. I do remember them sometimes eating something that looked like meat. It is possible they do have.
