Why not?

Because I wanted the reboot. I wanted a fresh continuity. It will be completely unbelievable for Superman and Lois to simply separate. It just would NEVER happen.

And the same goes for characters that simply will not exist anymore. That makes no sense if the current continuity will be acknowledged Post Flashpoint.

Ah, well I agree on that one, but as far as I'm concerned, less reboot = less chance of catastrophically messing things up, and these days it seems like whenever the companies want to do some remodeling, they can only change it for the worse.
Then again, I wouldn't put it past DC to simply lie about it. They're quite capable of doing so. "There will be NO WHITE LANTERNS" anyone?

So I guess it is possible for them to be playing with our heads to keep us guessing. I promise that I will drop Superman if they have him and Lois separate. Have a new Superman date the new Diana for all I care. But there is no way a divorce or a temporary separation so Superman can sow his wild oats can be a good thing.

Well I don't like that I was wanting a real reboot. I was hoping it was a all new continuity

I often take any poll like this with a grain of salt since there are so many factors that could skew numbers one way or the other. I know that I have often asked if the sales figures that get released from Diamond reflect purchases from companies to stores, or actual sales of books in stores.

Bleeding Cool posted a "top 5 ways to end Clark and Lois' marriage", with Kal selling off the marriage to Neron to bring pa Kent back being # 1. ;D

Act of God was pretty freaking terrible. Wha...? It may not be Kingdom Come, but it was intriguing as a story. Sure, if you are a Clark/Lois fan, then Act of God would bite, but still, the concepts of it and the tragic elements made it a good read, in my opinion.

Got to admit I laughed at that, despite being an obvious pun to make.

If Clark and Lois are not a couple Post-Flashpoint, they should never be married in the first place. Either retcon their marriage out of existence and save fans the irritation of having a needless divorce just so Clark can bed a few women before returning to Lois after having this "ZOMG" epiphany that she is the person he wants to spend his life with, or better yet, just have them stay together. I think the last option sounds more desirable. And less fanfictiony.
