True, he has some mighty issues with Iron man for some reason...
But honestly, even after reading two volumes of Iron man, learning what makes him tick, what made him do what he did, how much he struggled with it, and generally growing to love him as a character, I still find Thor bashing him into the ground a very entertaining scene. ;D

The fight was entertaining, no doubt about that. Coipel is a fantastic artist and that fight in particular played to his strengths. I simply think the whole thing was very much forced by JMS so that Thor could spend 10 pages beating Iron Man up.

It was forced, no doubt. The whole issue was set up as some meta payback against All the shit he did during Civil War, and frankly I think it war more a commentary on that series and its fallout (coughonemoredaycough) than the character of Iron Man. And to be fair, for people who read only Civil War but never read Iron man's own issues, the fight is extremely cathartic.

Sure, but at the end of the day, JMS simply brought IM over so that Thor could whoop him. Not because there was a reason for a confrontation at that point, not because it felt organic in the manner the plot was advancing, and definitely not to progress either character.

I think it was just for the benefit of people who still felt raging hatred for how horrible Iron Man was during Civil War.

No argument about that.

Two questions:
1. Do we have a definitive answer now?
2. Has the reboot happened yet? I'm behind.

From what I gather the reboot is actually of the "Everything is still canon unless we say so" variety.

"It'd be funny if they change his costume to match the costume he'll have in TDKR. " I actually expect something along those lines, to be honest. It's my expectation that most of DCNu will tie more closely to the way the companies characters play out in digital media. To me it just makes sense. They want a universe that it would be easier for new readers to get into without having to delve into loads of back story. Most of those new readers will come from having seen the characters in one form or other of digital media. That's why i would expect bane to return. It's also why I believe Cyborg is in the JLA, and why Ollie has his company doing intel etc for him.

There are some storylines that have clearly affected a multitude of characters, so how are some of them going to retain those in their history while it will be erased for others is still a mystery to me. If not flat out convoluted.

It definitely seems that for some characters it is a reboot. Superman seems like one of these characters that will actually be rebooted, but characters like Green Lantern or Batman seem like they will just be revamps.

So far, nothing else is considered canon to my knowledge aside from The Death of Superman. Superman is apparently getting a new origin as well since the rights to the original Superman go back to the creator's families. Wonder Woman is also getting a complete reboot. DC has stated that they want to keep the good stories for most characters. What they consider good stories has not been revealed yet beyond DoS and Batman/Green Lantern issues. 2. Wednesday brotha!

If Superman is going to be rather young in this universe. Then I guess Doomsday will be something he overcome when he was younger.
Personally, I think they get rid of it. As much as it was good. Lets grow some balls and just wipe the slate clean for Superman.

Well he was involved with the Green Lantern major arcs. So I doubt he will get erased.

Well he was involved with the Green Lantern major arcs. So I doubt he will get erased. He might still be around but he might be different in concept. Such as no longer using Kal's DNA or whatever.
