Floyd Lawton, the man known the world over as Deadshot gets the surprise of his life in this limited series. He finds out his parents have passed away and then discovers that he has a daughter he never knew existed. It turns out that the mother is a former hooker who resides in the Triangle neighborhood in Star City.
Deadshot takes off to find her and discovers the neighborhood is one of the worst in America. It's called the Triangle due to three gangs in a constant battle for control. To clean up the streets and make them safe for his daughter, he starts taking justice into his own hands. His efforts don't go unnoticed and he soon attracts the attention of a certain Emerald Archer that also resides in Star City. The two square off until they come to a mutual respect for one another.
The gang lords of the area have had enough of Deadshot and decide to hire a gang of metahuman criminals to finish him off. However, even their best efforts aren't enough to get the job done as Lawton battles the entire group to a virtual stalemate. Deadshot leaves town and leaves his daughter with her mother, who's benefiting from a trust fund/charity set up by Floyd's parents in the event of their deaths.
Thoughts:
Another great mini series focusing on Deadshot. We get to see a human side of Deadshot that isn't usually put on display. If you're a fan of Deadshot or the Secret Six then track this down.
