It's a funny story. I remember him denying playing any kind of role in the film, then weeks or so later the news broke of him being on set. The Talia rumors began with casting news of a female who looks somewhat like her. I guess we'll find out eventually.

One one hand, it'd be great to see Ra's again (since I like him, both as a character, and Neeson's performance in the film itself), but on the other, I am unsure on if it is fitting with Nolan's interpretation of the Batman mythos, so far.

I just did a bit of research. No official confirmation on Neeson's role (if there is indeed one), but rumors began to fly when he was spotted on set by various sources. Also, plenty of news stories are saying he does the narrating for the new trailer.
