Because when the tops are spinning, monsters and fireworks and all sortsa crazy stuff comes outta nowhere and tries to eat the other top. Oh, that and, because it's just somethin' to do. It's like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon and Bakugan and all those other "battle" shows.

I don't get why it's so good. Depends, magic monsters that come out of spinning tops to fight one another floats your boat. Then again I lost interest in it years ago.

True. I guess it depends if the people around you were into it too like Yu-Gi-Oh!. I know some people who didn't start that until I introduced them to it.

When it was out in England, I got into it really quickly because of the theme tune.
I bought the small ring and a few beyblades. My cousin and i both "let it rip" and watched the blades hit each other and release sparks. Funny shit.
