Entertainment Weekly released today a series of images dealing with the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man film. Several characters of the film - including Gwen Stacey (Emma Stone), May, and Ben Parker (Sally Field & Martin Sheen), Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), and, of course, Spider-Man himself (Andrew Garfield), are featured in the pictures.
Enjoy.

I honestly don't know what to expect from this. I'm really hoping it builds a strong franchise, but I guess we'll begin see when more is released.

I believe Marvel have learned lessons. Since the collection of films that are about to form the Avengers and X-Men First Class where all enjoyable films. At least films I'd watch again. So I don't think this will be bad. However not as good as Spider-Man 1.

But all of those films were under Marvel Studios, and in the case of X-Men First Class, given to (IMHO) a very capable director. Hopefully Colombia Studios will realize CBMs need to be done well at this point, and not given the Green Lantern treatment---aka mediocre popcorn entertainment. I haven't seen Mark Webb's work either, so I can't comment on his abilities as a director.

Pics look good, but I'll reserve passing judgement until I see it.

Every movie she's been in, she has a habit of staring into the camera and making awkward poses.

I really wish Pete looked less Twilighty, but I still think this is shaping up fairly well.

Kinda Spidey 2099, costume wise.

This is kinda like X-Men First Class. I'm really trying to like what I see so far, but the "I like movies that stay true to the comics" side of me is doing a bang-up job of getting in the way. But X-Men First Class turned out to be a good solid movie, so that gives me some hope.

I really wish Pete looked less Twilighty, but I still think this is shaping up fairly well. I think it's just his hair. He was a good actor in The Social Network.
