Yeah, I'd have to agree. He looks a bit too suave to be Clark. Keep in mind Clark Kent is an elaborate dork disguise. Only in some versions.  IMO, that's what Clark is supposed to be like. |

He doesn't have to be a dork at all times, but you got to admit that even the competent versions occasionally spill some coffee on the floor, or trip on someone's foot, so that others won't think he is, perhaps, too competent.

I haven't seen a competent version in a while though. I liked Clark in Busiek's run. He seemed natural there, and that's rather the point. He doesn't have to be a hyper competent lady killer or anything, so long as he is Clark Kent, and not Kal-El pretending to be Clark Kent.

Call me easily amused, but I'm glad the promotional picture is action oriented instead of just him flying or standing in the generic confident pose. Me too. Looks cool. Any word on the villain? I know Lex is the best but a nice action oriented battle against Zod, Metallo or Doomsday would be sweet. Hey SM. Is that Pulsar Stargrave in your avvy? |
