This movie seems to be a little too packed. Bane, Catwoman, Talia. It sounds reminiscent of Spider-Man 3. One of the major complaints with that movie was too many characters. Same for Iron Man 2 but to a lesser degree. I don't accept this as a valid excuse. Look at all of the movies that have done very well with an ensemble cast. "Too many characters" is just something that's easy to say about a poorly made movie. You can have a lot of characters in a movie if they are handled correctly and it is a well made movie. In the case of SM3 (one example), that wasn't the case. By the way, Marion Cotillard has not been confirmed as Talia. While it certainly seems that is the character she will play, her character currently has a different name. |

Yeah. They took an existing model that looked somewhat similar (from what I don't know), turned the body around, added some boots and gloves and what not, and imposed Hathaway's face and goggles from the first picture onto it.

My biggest issue has never been the costume. It's my complete disbelief that Hattaway can pull off catwoman.

Didn't people say the same thing about Ledger as Joker? other people and me are two different things. I never had any issue with him as the Joker, especially after I saw the first picture who I found quite alright. Contrary to what the masses said, he had demonstrated great range as an actor for someone his age. Hattaway by contrast, always plays the same role with the serial numbers filed off. |

ACTUALLY!! I remember before everyone knew Heath Ledger was Joker. I said to a friend that I think Ledger would be a good Joker with that smile. I was watching 10 Things I Hate about you. And then I wanted him to play Joker. And when I found the news out that he was Joker. I was like to my mates, I GOT IT RIGHT!!

Spider-Man 3 and Iron Man 2 were not hurt because of the number of characters involved. However, the setting, mood, and priorities in Spider-Man 3 and Iron Man 2 are very different than those in Nolan's Batman. If multiple characters are involved, they have to serve more of a purpose besides a tensing love interest. Do I think Nolan has this handled? Yes. But can I put much faith in Catwoman and Talia's involvement right now with what little I know about their roles? Not really. |
