In other news, as a sound-minded Christian I'd like to announce that Action Comic's single panel of "GD" (whatever that means) is a complete non-issue for me personally. However, the concept of a Superman who doesn't fly still offends me quite deeply.

Seriously, belonging to a certain faith is no excuse for being a moron. If you take everything you see as a personal dig at your religion then you're just going to go nuts at everyone you meet and alienate the hell out of people who aren't exactly like you. That's not your religious morality being exercised or God working through you; it's you being a touchy douche who wants everyone to be just like you.
I can understand why he wouldn't want to support a comic if it directly derided his beliefs but that really wasn't the case. That'd be the same if a comic derided any religion. These kinds of intense overreactions really bring down people's opinions of Christians everywhere. I can't even put into words how badly "Christian faith healers" set back legitimate believers. It's just that bad.

How people who supposedly read the bible constantly can find that an acceptable practice I'm not fully sure. 1/100 they might actually believe God has given them some kind of biblical healing power, which is really quite odd because that's you elevating yourself above others. I think humble people realize God gave them everything when they were born. Everything you need to live your life you got at birth, the rest you pick up along the way. I'm sure I could go on but it's very off-topic. We'll just say people who use faith to exploit others disappoint me very deeply. |

It's honestly like people go out of their way to be offended by stuff anymore. It's disgusting! I'm a very devout Christian and I think this guy is a complete moron for even thinking what he did for one moment. Even if he had been correct in his false assumption, it still would have been a major overreaction. People need to grow up and get over their personal hang-ups and agendas. This type of thing could have major short and long-term ramifications for him as a small business owner.
