Just get rid of Hulk altogether....he sucks. He's more a main staple of the Avengers than Black Widow is. Nah. Widow has been an Avenger for many MANY more issues. Hulk was just there at the beginning and played villain a few times. |

I don't see how this one promo image is a representation of Ruffalo's performance as Banner.... Yeah, Norton was really good, but what exactly has Ruffalo done to make everyone throw their shit at him? I just made a joke at the picture but I never liked him for Hulk. He physically does not say Bruce at all. |

Exactly, ckal. I get that he doesn't LOOK like Banner (Norton didn't either, people), but I think that's kind of a stupid reason to potentially get up in arms over the casting choice. Honestly, the face he's making on this cover is downright stupid and deserves mockery, but I'm going to hold off on saying whether he's a good or bad casting choice.

And I'm still a little confused by all the Norton praise as well. Yeah he was good (an average performance), but he wasn't extraordinary as some people try to make it out to be.

What baffles me is how they went "yeah, that's a good look to put on the cover." Like you said, it's a total blue-steel attempt and just looks silly. But somehow translating making that face into the actual film is a longshot, since I doubt he's going to walk around making that face as a reaction whenever possible, lmfao.

Norton's a likable dude and has an impressive resume, imho (American History X, Fight Club, etc). I think he's a good actor, but agree 100% his role in Hulk wasn't some breath-taking/overly impressive role. I loved TIH and I enjoyed seeing him as Banner, but honestly I don't care about Ruffalo taking the role. I haven't seen enough from him to go "Fuck no!" or "fuck yeah!"

I don't like Mark Ruffalo's voice, it annoys me. I have seen him in a number of films from the Last Castle to Shutter Island to 13 going on 30.

PAD's Hulk and Greg Pak's Hulk are a great many things, but boring isn't one of them. But Hulk is a character that can easily fall (and has fallen, many times) to one-dimensional self-parody status due to poor writing. More so than most other major heroes due to the nature of the character.
And yeah, nothing personal against Ruffalo, but that picture is laughable.
