Set set pics were recently taken of Russell Crowe in costume for his character, Jor-El (Superman's biological father). It looks to me like this is where Superman will get his costume from. Beneath Jor-El's robe/armor appears to be the Superman suit, and the 'wrist guards' are the same as well. Jor-El is also sporting a vague 'S' on his chest. Take a look below: DailyMailvia CBMWhat do you think Ledgers?

Jor-El smoking a cig has such a great feel to it.

I think the S should be less subtle..... And Crowe should lose some of that mid-section.

Jor-El smoking a cig has such a great feel to it. Yeah, I agree. They should make Jor-el a chain smoker in the movie just for that. ;D

I wonder what the 'S' will actually stand for? I mean he should be on Krypton, and they aren't called Supermen. So what?

Obviously it's some strange sort of family crest.
More interestingly even if they were called Supermen what's the chance they would use our alphabet lol

Well the S has never meant S or Superman to Kryptonians as far as I know.

Depends on what Superman's new origin story is.

The usually one I go by is for the S meaning is Hope. But on Krypton it's the crest with an 8 in the middle instead of the S.

It's amazing that aliens worlds away actually look the exact same as human beings, but also use our alpha and numerical systems. What a weird and completely coincidental universe....

I wonder if Crowe runs around fighting people in the movie like on South Park.
