Pretty epic, like it or not he changed the world of computing. My condolences to his family. The IT industry has lost a titan.

Apparently some assface American morons plan to picket his funeral because he didn't shove religion down people's throats with the release of his Apple products. Same morons you'll find carrying "God hates fags" signs around the place. They're really an embarrassment to the tolerance and love that is actually taught in the Bible. I really hope someone kicks their teeth in for protesting against a good man's funeral.

These would be the asshat uber-fundamentalists from Westboro baptist church? Yeah, I'm not surprised. From what I gather they picket every famous person's funeral for not being God fearing enough.

Ugh, I have no idea how some people read the Bible and take out the message that they do. It's full of God's law and how that that is the only important kind of law and yet you find lots of well established denominations who have rules and laws that aren't found anywhere in the Bible. That is hypocrisy at it's plainest. The Bible says that only God has the authority to pass judgement on others and often churches are full of the most judgmental people on the planet. It's really a shame because it just undermines people's faith instead of strengthening it.

The problem being that God's laws are 2000 years old?
I don't know. I don't think you can rely on the bible for any sort of practical rules or anything. And if you're gonna have an organized religion (or organized anything), you got to have rules.
Now whether organized religion in itself is a good thing is another matter.
But this all beside the point because WBC is just a few crazy assholes who think they've read the mind of God and think that gives them the right to act like crazy assholes.

But if you're not following God's laws then you're following your own. Which makes you not a Christian.
I think if you read it and learn from it the way you can learn from a lot of stories then you can use that to lead a better life. When you start attaching your own ideas to the authority of God is when you become a nutbag imo.
Honestly not concerned, how people want to celebrate whatever they believe in is fine with me. Choice is the greatest gift behind life itself.
Bingo. I'm not down with anyone who tries to enforce their beliefs on anyone, nor with anyone who thinks its cool to crash a funeral. They do both.

Don't worry. With any luck they'll be counter protested by the KKK. Again. While I'm not going to burst in to tears of Jobs' death, he changed the face of computing and the market as a whole. Smart Phones exist to compete with his own creation. Great Mad TV sketches were created to make fun of the war on terror based on Apple.

The fact our supreme court DEFENDED their right to protest funerals is disgusting. Thanks for being afraid to go remotely against the constitution and use logic to see how that's blatant abuse of a freedom

You know you're doing something bad if KKK thinks you're going too far.

Aside from the obvious hilarity of the statement itself, it is doubly hilarious that the tweet came in from an iphone. Double ironic hypocrisy for the win.

Those guys even picketed outside Comic Con once. Apparently, since we're comic book fans, we like Superman better than Jesus or something.

Westboro are just attention whores, they're not stupid, just everything they do is for more attention and fame. I wouldn't be surprised if they posted it from iPhone on purpose just for more attention.
