Discuss here.
Are War of Kings & Realm of Kings worth reading? Alos, is there a Marvel Cosmic reading list to help out a noob like me?

War of Kings was fine, Realm of Kings was rather tedious to me, but worth a look.
This is how I'd go about it:
X-Men: Deadly Genesis (due to Vulcan's appearance) Annihilation X-Men: Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire Annihilation: Conquest Emperor Vulcan X-Men: Kingbreaker War of Kings Realm of Kings Thanos Imperative Annihilators Annihilators: Earthfall
Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy were on-going series that started after Annihilation, and Annihilation: Conquest, respectively.

Thanks Morph.
I've read Deadly Genesis & Rise & Fall. I ummmmm actually....well.....uhhh....how can I say this? Like Vulcan. I'm so ashamed.

I like Vulcan too. I just like folks like Havok better.

I like Havok much more than I do Vulcan. He has a cool powerset and costume, but he was always fairly two-dimensional. Revenge and power are practically his motivation about everything.
You should check out GotG and Nova, if you can, Jake. I found them more anjoyable than the majority of the cosmic mini-series post Annihilation, and they regularly did tie-in with them, as well.

I thought the entire War Kings was quite the low point in Marvel Cosmic stories beginning with Annihilation and ending with Thanos Imperative. I really couldn't get through it, it seemed completely bland and uninteresting to me.

Must reads (in my opinion):
Annihilation Nova Guardians of the Galaxy The Thanos Imperative
If you're really interested in the characters (main characters are mostly different from the titles listed above), check out:
Annihilation: Conquest War of Kings Realm of Kings

Picked up Thanos Imperative today. Good choice, hope you enjoy it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. But I still recommend you read 'Annihilation,' as it is essential Marvel cosmic reading.

Dang, you on toppa thangs. I'm so proud. But yeah, just wanna reiterate what everyone said. The Annihilation trades are where its at. It sets up everything. Three volumes that contain everything to get you familiar with who's who in the cosmic place. Get some high octane action, some sick epic moments, a great story ta boot, and while War of Kings might be considered the low point, I think you'd like it since you enjoyed the other Vulcan stories. I enjoyed it.

jake- Glad you enjoyed it. Even though you are anxious about GotG (rightfully so) I'd like to reinforce what Nexus said. Annihilation is what really started it all for current Marvel cosmic, so I would suggest reading it first. Following that, Nova and GotG, and If you are really interested in the other characters, War of Kings and Realm of Kings. The Thanos Imperative comes after these.

Cool, I think you will thoroughly enjoy it. Drax is such a bad ass here and in GotG. This is also what made Nova won of the three favorite characters, plus his ongoing that started after this.
I would also recommend the Nova, Heralds of Galactus, and Silver Surfer tie-ins to Annihilation.
And I forgot to mention that Annihilation: Conquest is an event that comes after Annihilation. It deals with a different crew and threat.
