The last I read of him was Trinity, which... Wasn't very good. I think I heard him teaming up with a few other writers on an homage to Jack Kirby, but I don't know what became of that.

Well, one could have read Countdown as the last thing Giffen wrote but that doesn't make him crap, does it? 
He had several extended runs, his Avengers and Iron Man were really good.

He wrote Marvels: Eye Of The Camera but I never got around to reading it. Mostly because it'd be like reading a sequel to Kingdom Come (oh, wait...), I don't want to let go of the original Marvels series and spoil it in my mind in any way exactly because it was so excellent.
