I think i control my dreams when i know that it's dream, something that rarely happens. Btw, i have made a theory from something that my brother had told me. He told me that when you are sleeping, you use your 100% of your brain. If that's true, you can think amazingly fast and your reflexes can be increased a lot. And i think that's true, because there were times that i was sleeping for some seconds and i saw a pretty long dream. Since dreams are thoughts, then if you can think amazingly fast when you are sleeping, then you are able to see some pretty long dreams in a few seconds. Do you guys think that this make sense? =] I think this theory this makes sense. However, my one point that may discredit it is the fact that you already think faster than you operate. If you notice, you can think more words in a minute than you can speak. People tend to read faster in their thoughts than they do out loud. I can day dream memories of movie scenes in shorter periods of time than the scene actually lasts. Do you follow my meaning? Since you already think faster than you operate in the first place, it may be plausible that you exercise more of your brain as you sleep, but it may be that the reason for such long dreams is that you think faster anyhow.

Actually I remember reading somewhere that dreaming doesn't last long. It seems long to us.

That's very true. But i think there is a small difference between the thoughts and the dream thoughts. When you see dreams, you feel that it might last minutes or hours and you can see every detail of that thought. But when you are thinking normally while you are not sleeping, you are trying to think fast and you are avoiding the details of your thoughts. I hope you get my meaning. =]

I don't have crazy dreams often, but when the teaser trailer for 'Spider-man 3' came out, I had this badass dream of Venom fighting Spider-man in the belltower. Venom was getting bigger and bigger (it was like Deodato.... but scarier). And the dream ended right as Venom smacked Spidey into a wall. It was epic!
And then I saw Spider-man 3.
Needless to say, the dream died.

The point of the dream was that I was expecting something uberbadass(Though, not something monsterlike from the dream, I admit). . . . . . . . and I got Topher Grace with Carnage's body build. What the flark, man!?

What the flark, man!? You are right about that. I think it will be better if Venom would try to solo him instead of getting an ally( sandman ). I think the idea was good, fighting both of them but it's not something that would expected when Venom is involved. And it's true, Venom should be bigger than that. =] @nightwish: I don't expect any dream to make sense at all.

I had lucid dreams for a few weeks. It was freaky. I don't get them as much as I used too. When I were a kid to mid teens, I got them all the time.

I was lucid in a dream only once, and it only lasted for a couple of seconds before I woke up. But it was the most f**king awesome feeling ever. I was like a reality manipulator.

A dream I had a few nights ago had the worst timing of any dream I've ever had. I was in some kind of shopping mall, and every store had some kind of sexual fantasy inside. I was seconds away from getting it on with an entire all-female yoga class when my alarm went off. If my alarm wasn't also my phone, I would have broken it in half.

well that sucks, it sounds like it would have been an awesome dream if you'd seen it's conclusion.

I once had a dream where I was hired to kill zombies in an office building. Except they talked, and were fucking creepy as hell.
